After graduating from the University of Arizona in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Garry took six months to write a business plan, draw design plans and built the Balcony Saloon on 4th Avenue. After successfully running the bar and restaurant for 18 months, he sold the Balcony.
 
In 1973, Garry established Brav & Foreman Construction Company, Inc. He bought a lot on the eastside and built his first spec home which vaulted him into the construction business. Commercial tenant improvements around Tucson were next. BFL Construction Company, Inc. was established in 1977 when Brav & Foreman formed a new company with NICO Construction Company (listed on the NYSE as LVI Group). Mr. Brav was Executive Vice President for Arizona and New Mexico managing the Tucson and Phoenix offices. In April 1984, the BFL stock owned by LVI Group was purchased by Brav.
 
Garry has been the President of BFL since 1977 and under his leadership, BFL gradually expanded the business from tenant improvements to multi-million dollar projects including Bio-medical, healthcare and commercial projects. Over the years BFL has become skilled at dealing with the complexities of development services for clients. BFL now uses that knowledge for clients including his own Preferred Apartment Builders (PAB) and Alta Vista Communities as they develop and build affordable and market rate multi-family projects in Southern Arizona and metro-Phoenix under the Avilla brand.
 
In 2008, Garry became a partner in Fairfield Homes and has expanded from Green Valley to Stone Canyon in Oro Valley building well-appointed higher end single family residences in the golf course community.
 
Mr. Brav takes great pride in the company's reputation for superior work and the employees who help make this happen. The pride and loyalty of BFL employees is evidenced by their length of service.
 
Garry is also very active in community affairs and has held such positions as; Chairman of the Board, American Cancer Society; Chair of the Mayor's Homeless Facilities Committee; Red Cross' Facility Acquisition Committee; Chair of the United Way Construction and Mining Division; and Chairman of the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Development Services developing the mid-size zoning ordinances for Camelback and 24th Street, Desert Angels, Tucson Metro Chamber Chairman's Circle and Southern Arizona Leadership Council.
