Raytheon Technologies Corp rebrands itself as “RTX”
Tucson-based Raytheon Missiles & Defense will be operated under the name “Raytheon,” with top management based in Tucson.
TUCSON, AZ (June 21, 2023) — Aerospace and defense giant Raytheon Technologies Corp. has rebranded itself as “RTX,” and its defense businesses, including Tucson-based Raytheon Missiles & Defense, will be operated under the name “Raytheon,” with top management based in Tucson.
The changes, detailed Monday at an investors’ conference at the Paris Air Show, are part of a corporate restructuring announced in January that condenses the company into three businesses: Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon.
Raytheon is the Tucson region’s biggest employer with about 13,000 local workers.
Wes Kremer, president of Raytheon Missiles & Defense, said:
“I am thrilled to announce that the #ParisAirShow serves as the perfect platform for Raytheon Technologies to unveil our latest development: the establishment of the new #OneRTX business unit. This remarkable move signifies a realignment, bringing together Raytheon Missiles & Defense and Raytheon Intelligence & Space as one cohesive entity. I am eager to engage with our valued customers, talented employees, and esteemed partners, sharing essential insights into the exciting new changes taking place within our organization.”
