In her role, Stephanie is the market’s primary advocate by helping to drive business development, lead the market’s competitive efforts, and work to ensure alignment. Stephanie’s experience in the market and in the community allows her to effectively champion the customer and employee experience.
Stephanie joined Cox in 2012, where she was tasked with leading the market’s Public Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility programs, Employee Engagement and Public Relations. In addition to her public affairs role, Stephanie has been responsible for developing public private partnerships and building out market expansion across the West region. Stephanie has led the Southern Arizona team that activates Cox’s brand moments in the community, advocates for broadband policy, and champions affordability and digital equity initiatives. In her role, Stephanie has helped to shape and lead a highly successful employee experience strategy that has led to some of the company’s highest employee engagement and satisfaction scores across all markets.
In addition to her public affairs role, Stephanie has served in leadership roles for Cox’s environmental and sustainability initiatives and has served as Co-Chair of the West Region’s Cox Conserves council. It’s here that she has been able to blend her passion for sustainability with her day job. Stephanie was instrumental in launching the enterprise-wide Tower Gardens project, bringing sustainability and healthy living to our communities.
Stephanie’s extensive expertise is drawn from diverse environments including telecommunications, health care, water, government, and economic development. Previous to Cox, Stephanie was president of Hospital Council of Southern Arizona where she advocated on behalf of 15 area hospitals and led a consortium to improve the region’s health care delivery system. Stephanie also led economic and workforce development for the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
Community service includes past President of the Southwest Cable & Communications Association, Board and leadership roles for Arizona Thrives, Arizona Forward, and El Rio Health Care. She is a graduate of the Flinn Brown Civic Leadership Academy and a Flinn Brown Fellow. Stephanie was also honored for her work in public relations as a “Women of Influence” and was named Woman of the Year. She is a former “40 under 40” recipient and she was given the brightest star recognition for her class. Stephanie’s a passionate advocate for girls’ and women’s issues in the community. Stephanie’s frequently invited to provide her subject matter expertise within the community and region as well as for the media.
Outside of work, Stephanie likes to think you would find her striking a refined yoga pose or riding her road bike but it’s just as likely she will be trying to keep up with her very active family. She aspires to spending time indulging her inner chef and travel bug.
